- It is the members' responsibility to cancel or reschedule their classes! Members can cancel and late-cancel independently on the Deviant app without the assistance of the studio. 2. Harassment and Discrimination Communication
Members are expected to treat staff and other members with courtesy and kindness. Inclusivity is important. Please be welcoming and respectful to individuals of all fitness levels, abilities and backgrounds.
Deviant Dance and Fitness Studio prohibits harassment of any kind and will take appropriate and immediate action in response to complaints or knowledge of violations of this policy. For purposes of this policy, harassment is any verbal or physical conduct designed to threaten, intimidate, shame, or exclude any studio member or staff.
The following examples of harassment are intended to be guidelines and are not exclusive when determining whether there has been a violation of this policy:
- Verbal harassment includes comments that are offensive or unwelcome regarding a person's national origin, race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, appearance, disability, gender identity or expression, political affiliation, marital status or other protected status, including epithets, slurs and negative stereotyping.
- Nonverbal harassment includes the distribution, display, or discussion of any written or graphic material that ridicules, denigrates, insults, belittles, or shows hostility, aversion, or disrespect toward an individual or group because of national origin, race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy, appearance, disability, sexual identity, political affiliation, marital status or other protected status.
Deviant Dance and Fitness Studio reserves the right to acknowledge, investigate, and select resolutions for any reports of harassment or violation of policies that occur at Deviant Dance and Fitness Studio.
3. Incident Reporting
All incident reports will be submitted to Member Services for the purpose of submission privacy, incident tracking, and appropriate response. The Member Services office will have blank copies of each incident report type. Each incident report type and process for submission is listed below.
- Injury Incident Reports:
If you sustain an injury while attending a Deviant Dance and Fitness Studio class, you will need to submit an Injury Incident Report. Given the nature of some Deviant classes and apparatus, it is important that we monitor all injuries at the studio to ensure that safety is at the forefront of the studio priorities. Accurately tracking and monitoring all injuries will allow the studio to respond if there is a specific need and to check in on you to ensure you are ok in addition to anticipating any needs you may have regarding your membership.
- Harassment and/or Discrimination Incidents:
As incidents or complaints regarding harassment or discrimination can be highly sensitive, there are two options to submit this type of incident report.
Option 1: It is preferred that all members utilize Member Services to submit the incident report. If an incident is submitted, privacy will be at the utmost importance in responding to the report. All reports submitted through Member Services will be provided to the Studio Owner in a sealed manila envelope for review and response.
Option 2: If you are not comfortable with submitting the report through Member Services and would prefer to connect with the Studio Owner directly to submit a report, a PDF version of the report will be made available to submit directly to the Studio Owner via email. The PDF version of the incident report is available on the Deviant Dance Tribe website in the footer.
VIDEOGRAPHY & PRIVACY
- Videos/Photos recorded by Deviant Personnel:
I consent and agree that Deviant Dance Tribe LLC, its employees, or agents have the right to take photographs, videotape, or digital recordings of me and to use these in all media, now or hereafter known, and exclusively to promote Deviant Dance Tribe LLC services. Note: If you prefer not to be included in photographs or recordings taken by staff, please notify your instructor when asked. Please note that Deviant’s Cardio Deconstructed class on Sundays is recorded consistently each week and is utilized on the app for unlimited members to view. Members will have the opportunity to opt out of this video.
- Videos/Photos recorded by Deviant Members:
Deviant Members often like to record themselves. Member progress and growth should be celebrated and shared socially. At the same time, we want to be mindful of the privacy of all members. If you record yourself in class, you must receive permission from those around you that would appear in your video. If a member violates your privacy, please communicate with Member Services if you wish to report the incident officially.
