Christine Stadler  is a mixed-media artist based in Syracuse, NY, known for her evocative use of unconventional materials and symbolic storytelling. Born and raised in Ohio, Christine began drawing as a child, using art as a therapeutic outlet. She went on to study art and design at Alfred University, where she honed her skills in both painting and design.

Her work is characterized by the use of everyday materials like house paint, Sharpie, and other common items to create textured, layered paintings that both conceal and reveal personal narratives. Christine’s art focuses on themes of personal growth, family relationships, poverty, childhood trauma, and eating disorders. Through her portraits, she often incorporates skeletal elements and plays with the translucency of the human body to reflect both fragility and strength.

Christine’s symbolic approach makes her work accessible, allowing viewers from all walks of life to connect with the story behind each piece. Her use of automatic writing as texture and the intentional abstraction caused by material defects further deepen the emotional impact of her art. By choosing cheap, accessible materials, Christine emphasizes that art is for everyone, and that the stories she tells—of pain, resilience, and transformation—are universal.

In addition to her artistic practice, Christine works as an associate creative director for an ad agency, bringing her creative vision to life across various mediums.

Christine Stadler is a new performer who has been exploring pole dance for the past two years. She is deeply grateful to her teachers and the supportive community at Deviant for creating a safe space where she can grow and discover performance as a new form of expression.
