Lisa Price is a New York native whose fierce style and passion for movement have been captivating audiences for more than four decades. She began dancing competitively at a young age, training at numerous studios throughout New York City. Her artistic journey led her to the renowned Broadway Dance Center, where she deepened her connection to movement and explored a diverse range of disciplines, including jazz, hip-hop, Afro-Haitian dance, and theatrical performance styles. Lisa's love for the stage expanded through her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and the Philadelphia School of Visual Arts, where she further developed her artistry and performance skills. As an adult, Lisa continued to nurture her lifelong relationship with dance and performance. In 2015, she relocated to Central New York, where she found purpose in supporting and growing the region's adult dance community. Drawing on her extensive experience and unwavering passion for movement, Lisa founded Deviant Dance Tribe in 2018. Today, Deviant Dance Tribe is a locally recognized adult dance brand that empowers everyday people to rediscover and reclaim their love of movement. Through an inclusive and supportive environment, Lisa encourages participants to connect with others, express themselves creatively, and build confidence both on and off the dance floor. Lisa’s teaching style is experiential and somatic. Instruction is grounded in foundational principles such as directionality, weight shifting, and texture, which support students in developing autonomy in their movement practice. Lisa currently teaches Barre, Cardio, Chairlesque, as well as some other rotating dance disciplines.
